PCS, located at 132 West 60th Street, is a private lower and upper school for young people who need to have flexible schedules in order to accommodate their study and work commitments. Many children who are in Broadway shows, commercials, and films, as well as those who do print modeling, attend PCS. So do a fair percentage of the students at the School of American Ballet. For the record, some SAB students use home study courses as a more affordable alternative to PCS. If you're considering this option, however, be sure you have the necessary discipline to work on your own. Sad tales abound of young dancers who got kicked out of SAB for not completing academic work satisfactorily.
